This compress is a great aid in cases of impacts or bruises, and for sports horses, it can be applied both before and after performance. After warming it up in a water bath, simply apply it directly to the affected areas.
Remove the lid and warm the poultice by placing the container in very hot water. Mix well and apply a thick layer of the hot poultice to the affected area. Always check the temperature of the dressing prior to application to prevent burning the horse. Cover with newspaper and a soft bandage, then secure with a wrap. Leave in place for 12 to 24 hours. Rinse thoroughly. Repeat as needed.
